Think, the Norwegian electric carmaker, said Monday that it had raised an additional $40 million in funding to finance its expansion in Europe and the United States.
Think is building its first factory in Elkhart, Indiana with the cars coming off the assembly line in early 2011. 500 solar-powered cars will come from a Finland plant during the 4th quarter of 2010.
Think will focus on 5 or 6 cities in the U. S. to debut its solar-powered car.
the solar-powered car will go about 112 miles on a full charge and top speed is 70 to 75 mph. The 1st shipments of these solar-powered cars will go to corporate fleets and car sharing services.
